Freedom Business Plan

James Brausch challenged his readers to create a plan that could be implemented within three months for their online businesses such that it will grow without them. This is what he means when he talks about a Freedom Business and it is precisely what Timothy Ferris talks about in his new bestseller, The Four Hour Workweek.

James already has this down such that he only works three hours a day three days a week. I bit excessive by Tim’s standards, but not a bad goal for the rest of us.

As I am currently a Marketing and Fundraising Consultant to others, I am still only working on implementing my plan part time. Not only that, I am starting from the beginning in that I have not been focused on building my freedom business. But enough with the excuses. On with the plan:

The first three steps are meant to start providing some immediate additional income from the value I bring to the marketplace while I work on building my ultimate freedom business, Fundraising University. Here goes:

1. Launch first software product within two weeks. I conceived this product is an add-on to James Brausch’s Rasof, an awesome web page analyzer which scores your page for on-page ranking factors of the three major search engines. Those of us who use Rasof, find it incredibly powerful, but not particularly intuitive in how to improve the ranking factors on a page.

My On Page Ranking Advice (OPRA) will provide specific recommendations such as: “Your current keyword density in the header of your web page of 6% gives you a score of -35. The easiest and quickest way to raise your score is to increase your keyword density from 6% to 8%. The optimal score will be achieved by decreasing your keyword density in the header of your web page from 6% to 3%.

Without also owning James Ranking Factors course, which is no longer on the market, the only way to know how to increase your on page ranking factors score, and presumably your search engine ranking, is trial and error. Even with the Ranking Factors data, the changes required to increase your on page ranking factors is not obvious or easily determined without investing many minutes per parameter, or several hours when all the parameters are reviewed.

The key to OPRA is that It will provide a simple report that even an intern can work on implementing. It is the ideal tool for those trying to build a freedom business.

Rasof sells for $1000 per month. It’s worth every penny of that too. OPRA should multiply Rasof’s value by allowing those who use it to save hours or turn the SEO task over to interns. How many hours a month does it have to save you to be worth a substantial price? I would think it should sell well as a web based tool, like Rasof, on a subscription basis to those who subscribe to Rasof. It will most likely run on its own website, unless James has others ideas. Since the only people that will benefit from this product either already own or need to buy Rasof, I’ll look forward to James contacting me about a joint venture or otherwise doing business together. (Without being a member fo his magical email address, a blog posting like this one is the only way to contact him). If he chooses not too, I will reconsider this being part of my short term plan.

If James does contact me, I will reinvest part of my profits from this venture into becoming a member of his magical email address mentoring program for which he currently charges $1000 per month. I’ll let you know what he says.

2.Establish sales page for Glyphius within the week. Currently I have ten copies of both Muvar and Glyphius, each which I purchased at James initial resellers discount. I plan to promote then as a package, with sales pages and promotions for each and an upsell of the other for those that purchase. After I sell them I will need to automate both the sales and reorder process. Already I am in the process of hiring a virtual assistant to handle this and other business and personal tasks. I will drive traffic by hiring on elance someone to write three versions of 10 different articles for each product. Muvar articles will focus on multivariable testing and how Muvar can automatically create a self perfecting sales page. Glyphius articles will focus on different places compelling copywriting can be used to increase sales. I will post the articles to my blogs and the Virtual Assistant will submit them using Artemis article submission software.

3. Complete Sales Pages for Shooting People. My first information product that I created from scratch, from conception to completed edited recording of the course. The mp3 is finished, I just need to convert it to the correct format so it will play as a CD. Then I will upload to Kunaki. After the first 5 sales, I will have the audio transcribed and sell the package at a higher price. My friend Yehoshua, the Photographer I interviewed for the course, is creating an automated PowerPoint presentation that we can sell as a DVD at a substantially higher price. I will build an affiliate network through Clickbank, and look to affiliates to grow this aspect of my business. Additionally I will create a mini-network of sites related to cameras and photography, all feeding into the sales page for Shooting People. I already own five domains optimized using Nemeas, James Brausch domain scoring software, and plan on building the blogs on the sites with outsourced articles already in progress from a writer in India I hired on elance.

4. Automate the promotion of those three products. I will need to continue the automation of promotion of these three aspects of my internet business. I will focus on the creation of articles (outsourced by my Virtual Assistant on elance or through the current freelancers already working on articles), submitted with Artemis by my virtual assistant or by interns in a newly formed intern program.Living in providence, I think I will be able to find many interns at brown, once September hits. Until then, I will establish and refine an intern program. Also, I will invest in in James customer service software, Sufaq to ensure I do not get bogged down with those issues.

5. My major long term freedom business is a membership site is called Fundraising University. I will spend the next three months recruiting the faculty, the expert consultants and trainers in the field and make the case to them that they have mush to gain in new business and personal promotion by joining the faculty, and providing the content for this membership site. I will begin to promote the site through my personal contacts and by getting involved in the few forums that currently exist for fundraisers. Ultimately the major recruitment of new “students” to the “campus” will be through an aggressive affiliate program which provides half of the tuition back to the charity that sponsors the volunteer or professional student. Thus the site will not only serve the volunteers and professionals who work at charities, but will provide additional funds back the charities as well. It will be the ultimate profit through service business.

After Fundraising University has launched, I will reinvest some of the income into hiring an affiliate manager to promote the site to charities and the professional organizations to which fundraisers belong. Content creation will come from the faculty and other promotion from affiliates, consultants, and charities.

Well, that is it for now. Perhaps not the most focused and ideal plan, but one which will provide some income as I build toward the ideal freedom business.

    Hi!
You mention that you have many CDs with Glyphius. Is it the 2.0 or the 2007 version?

What is the price and how can I order?

    P.S.
I ask only about glyphius, because I’ve already got muvar. Just was unfortunate to have my glyphius CD order lost in the mail, and now looking to get a new copy.

    P.P.S.
Do you have a way to send Glyphius as download?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi!
sorry for the stupid question - already found your glyphius order page and ordered.
One problem - when I was redurected from PayPal’s site, I got “page not found” message. Would you please check to make sure that my order came through ok and will be shipped in timely manner?
    Thanks so much!
